Day 8 Proverbs 8 The Voice On The Roof Top

Wisdom Is Calling — Will Jordan Listen?

Jordan’s school held a big outdoor fair every spring. Music blasted, kids laughed, games buzzed, and the whole place felt alive.

But in the middle of the noise, Jordan kept hearing something strange — a faint voice calling out.

At first he thought it was part of a game. Then he thought maybe someone was yelling for help. But the voice wasn’t panicked. It was steady. Calm. Clear.

He followed the sound to the back of the school where it was quieter. There, on the roof, stood the school’s custodian, Mr. Ray, adjusting a speaker.

“Mr. Ray?” Jordan called.

Mr. Ray smiled. “Trying to get the announcements working. Hard to hear anything with all that noise out front.”

Jordan nodded. “Yeah… I kept hearing something but couldn’t tell what it was.”

Mr. Ray chuckled. “That’s how wisdom works. It calls out — loud and clear — but you’ve gotta step away from the noise to hear it.”

Jordan looked back toward the fair. Music. Shouting. Chaos.

Then he looked at Mr. Ray.

“Think I get it now,” Jordan said.

Wisdom wasn’t hiding. It was calling. He just needed to listen.

Core Truth: God’s wisdom isn’t hidden — it calls out to anyone willing to hear.
