Day 5 Proverbs 5 The Warning Whisper
Jordan Tries To Staying Away From What Pulls Him Down, Do You?
Glow Story
Jordan loved riding his bike through the neighborhood trails. One afternoon, he noticed a new path he had never seen before — narrow, twisting, and partly hidden by branches.
A sign stood at the entrance: “Trail Closed — Unsafe Conditions.”
Jordan paused.
His friend Caleb rolled up behind him. “Come on,” Caleb said. “Signs are for little kids. Let’s check it out.”
Jordan looked at the sign again. Something inside him whispered, “This isn’t safe.”
Caleb sped ahead anyway.
Jordan took one slow step forward… then stopped. The whisper grew stronger: “Turn back.”
He called out, “Caleb, wait!”
But before Caleb could stop, his front tire hit a hidden dip. The bike flipped, and Caleb tumbled into the brush.
Jordan rushed over. Caleb was scraped up but okay.
As Jordan helped him up, Caleb muttered, “I should’ve listened.”
Jordan nodded. “Warnings aren’t there to ruin our fun. They’re there to protect us.”
That day, Jordan learned something important: Wisdom whispers before danger shouts.
Core Truth: Wisdom helps you recognize danger before you step into it.
Action Step
Pay attention to the “warning whispers” today — that uneasy feeling, that pause, that sense something isn’t right. Choose to step back instead of forward.
